Q1: Who is eligible to purchase these Traveller SIM packages?
A1: Non-Malaysians travelling to Malaysia are eligible to purchase these Traveller SIM packages as long as they present their passports at Digi outlets in selected airports in Malaysia.
Q2: What are the selling price of Traveller SIM package?
A2: The Traveller SIM packages are sold at RRP RM40 (valid for 15 days) or RM20 (valid for 7 days). Both prices are inclusive of GST.
Q3: What do customers get when they purchase these Traveller SIM packages?
A3: If customers purchase Traveller SIM package RM40, they will get:
- 10GB Internet
- 15GB WhatsApp, Facebook, WeChat (1GB/day)
- 30 local mins (all-network)
- 30 IDD mins (China, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Japan)
- RM5 preloaded credit from Digi Prepaid BEST™
If customers purchase Traveller SIM package RM20, they will get:
- 2GB Internet
- 7GB WhatsApp, Facebook, WeChat (1GB/day)
- 10 local mins (all-network)
- 10 IDD mins (China, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Japan)
- RM5 preloaded credit from Digi Prepaid BEST™
Q4: Is there any limitation on the usage of Internet quota and social quota?
A4: Customer can use 2GB or 10GB Internet quota on any time and any day within 7 or 15 days validity. Whereas Social quota (to be used on WeChat, WhatsApp and Facebook), customer can use up to 1GB/day during the 7 or 15 days validity. For Unlimited WeChat, the usage will consume social quota first and once 1GB/day is depleted, usage on WeChat will be on Free Basic Internet.
Q5: Is there any limitation on the usage of local and IDD minutes?
A5: Customer can use local minutes to make voice calls to all networks in Malaysia, including fixed lines (excludes video calls, special numbers, toll-free 1-300 numbers, and calls to 121 numbers) with 60 seconds charging block.
Customer can use IDD minutes to make IDD call to Singapore, Indonesia, China, Japan, India and Thailand with direct dial or budget IDD, with 60 seconds charging block.
Note that customer will not be able to use local and IDD minutes to make calls if credit balance reaches RM0.
Q6: Can the customer continue to use the Traveller SIM after the validity expires?
A6: Yes, customer can continue using the Traveller SIM (i.e. Digi Prepaid BEST™). Just reload and subscribe to Internet plan to stay connected.
Q7: Is there any max cap applied to the Traveller SIM packages?
A7: Yes, max cap for Traveller SIM Package RM40 is below:
- 10GB Internet
- 1GB/day WhatsApp, Facebook and WeChat
- 60 local mins
- 60 IDD mins
Whereas the max cap for Traveller SIM Package RM20 is below:
- 2GB Internet

Q8: Can customer just purchase the Traveller Pass OTP on its own?
A8: No, the Traveller Pass OTP cannot be purchased on its own. It must be purchased at RM40 or RM20 and comes with one (1) new Digi Prepaid BEST™ pack.
Q9: Can the Traveller Pass OTP be reloaded into Digi Prepaid LiVE™?
A9: No. The Traveller Pass OTP can only be reloaded into Digi Prepaid BEST™.
Q10: Can the Traveller Pass OTP be purchased on other channels besides MSA?
A10: No. The Traveller Pass OTP can only be purchased in MSA at Seamless Activation process. It not purchasable via UMB, Flexi or MyDigi.
