My wife and I were approached by Digi staff in 2015 concerning a promotion from digi. We were told that in order to promote their RM148 package, they were giving rebates to those who signed up for their RM148 package. The actual amount we need to pay each month is equivalent to the usual amount that we were paying at the moment. And we would be bound for 2 years of contract. We were spending about RM50 per month at that time. So it meant we would receive a rebate of about RM100 for each line we subscribed. Each of us was allowed to sign up for 2 lines, since that was the limit Digi imposed on each customer signing up for Smart Plan. We received message later that we were subscribing to iDigi 148 package which were packaged together with iphone, but we did not received any iphone. After the initial rebate, we were asked to pay in full each month and we were told that the rebates would be processed later. It turn out to be lies. After two years of suffering and numerous complaints, finally we heard from the digi staff that digi agreed to compensate us by extending our package with digi bearing the cost for one year and immediate rebates every month. This turned out to be another lie. We found out that we were in actual fact switched to another RM148 paln and were bound for another 2 years. We were charged full amount since the first month too. We refused to pay and digi resorted to sending sms after sms, calls after calls to chase after us to pay. This is ridiculous. Digi scammed us to sign up for the package to boost up their RM148 package subscription rate, then force us to pay for what we don't need. Our lines are now suspended, so digi, where are our iphones if you insist that we pay the full RM148 instead of what were promised to us? If you cannot deliver on your promise, then why did you promote that package in the first place? We were told that this promotion was known only to Digi internal staff. So when we complained to Customer Service, we were given a run around. What we request is a digi staff with the authority to solve this mess to contact us, instead of sending ahlong sms and humiliating calls to intimidate us to pay up.
