I don't really care whether the online gambling are legal or not. What bothers me so much is that, is there any breach of privacy within Digi where my numbers easily being spammed with these advertisements. What is the action for Digi to resolve this issue?

At Digi, we treat customer's privacy very seriously. Generally, do take caution when providing contact numbers especially to the public on internet. Some phones support blocking of SMS from blacklisted numbers or unknown number. You may explore on these features if available to you.

Hi Mr Octopus,
I've started subscribing Digi postpaid from August 2015 until now. This is my second number which the number distributed only been informed to closed friends and family members.
FYI, I am currently subscribing to another postpaid services with other telco for the last 10 years. This number not only used for personal, but other purposes too; offline or online. Unline my digi postpaid, it is rarely to receive those SMS.
Blocking of SMS apps currently is choice of action. But, how can you block the new numbers?
I was thinking that my number was from recycled list. At your end, how long a number will be used again?

Hi Malif,
I have the similar problem.
But I don't think it is certainly digi or any party is leaking our phone number to those spammy number. The reason being is that out phone number is sequence of numbers (unlike email address is alphanumeric).
So I'm suspecting those spammy number just doing what they do, SPAM!!
Anyway, I wish digi has better control of spammy sms.
i face the similar problem also getting the spam sms for online game or gambling/casino.
i dont really take much action from those number. but this is too much now, as i am now in overseas, few sms in a days, end up i have to pay, as sometimes it's like a MMS of which incur data roaming charging...
as part of the responsible corporate, i am sure digi can do something on all this with regulatutory and internal process!
i guess, if those number keep coming in, we will have to make police report on that!

If you are being spammed with SMS for certain unsolicitated services, you can report the message to SKMM.
To avoid unexpected MMS charges while roaming, set your device to download MMS manually.

Don't bother. SKMM is seriously understaffed. After going through all the procedures, i am too tired now. I received spam from at least 20-30 different numbers. How do you expect ppl to go through the process to report every one of them?
Malaysa, oh Malaysia.
