In case you’ve missed it, it is now official: Digi is now partners with the Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Malaysia’s League of Legends champions! Supporting them alongside Logitech, the team will be going for an eSports boot camp in South Korea.
Over the years, eSports has become more popular with an increasing number of fans and sponsorships. In Malaysia, eSports have gained support from companies, introducing new platforms dedicated for gaming. eSports tournaments are also organised for local gamers to flaunt their talents and progress to world stage.
Did you know? The Kuala Lumpur Hunters is the first Malaysian eSports team to train in Seoul, South Korea before working their way to qualify for the League of Legends World Championships 2017 that will be held in China later this year.
Known as the “first Malaysia Pro Gaming team”, the Kuala Lumpur Hunters consist of six talented individuals. They are Phoon “OzoraVeki” Kok Sing (team captain), Adrian “Shiro” Lee, Eric “Qaspiel” Sia, Chan “ArrHedge” Roonghan, Ramsay “Bipolar” Devaraj and Vince “Wicked” Ng .
The team made their mark at an international level when they achieved a top 3 position in Southeast Asia.
This opportunity will give the team a chance to train and improve their skills with top players in the pro League of Legends scene.
