If there’s one thing we can agree on, 2020 is a year filled with surprises. We’ve stayed at home a whole lot more and that means more time in the kitchen, moments with family, virtual meetings and if you’re a plant enthusiast, we bet they’re as lush as ever than before!
While some things may not go as planned this year, we should not lose sight of the achievements that we’ve achieved and conquered - there’s a lot more that you’ve gotten this year than ever before! Here's a little reminder of some of the things we can all appreciate, even when times are tough.
More time experimenting to be a MasterChef!
For those that got cooking a little more (or even if you’ve never done so), this year would've been a perfect opportunity for you to dish up simple and fun recipes! Being at home more means planning and cooking each meal, from breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of the most famous trends this year came from our kitchens itself, which was the Dalgona Coffee!
More virtual selfies and wefies with friends!
With the internet widely available to us all, catching up with friends and family is just as easy as ever! We’re still able to celebrate achievements, special occasions and keep in touch with the people we love. There’s always new and thoughtful ways for us to come together without the need of meeting face-to-face.

More time for your hobbies and passion!
One thing we can all be grateful for this year is the fact that we have more ‘me’ time to enjoy our hobbies at home. Whether it's painting, gaming with friends, or just gardening, this year has given us more time than ever for our hobbies and passion that we love the most. And for some of us, those passions became an online business that began during this lockdown period!
More savings on your expenses!
This year's lockdown also meant less expenses on dining-out, daily commute and tolls for some. It has helped us better track where our moolah goes and have a better sense of how much we can save from having meals at home more often. Another thing we can be thankful for is that we’ll come out of this pandemic as better money managers (hopefully).
