SPM PRO MAX no more! Congratulations to all the 03’s who have finished their final SPM papers today! It has been a tough journey, but you did it. You must all feel the exhaustion after the exams and now, it’s time for you to kick back and relax! Here are some of the recovery things that you can do, (before you start another journey)!
1. Try out pro-gaming!
Aside from learning and ace-ing exams, do you enjoy gaming? Do you enjoy playing games such as Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, Valorant, and many more? Now that you are done with exams, you likely have more free time!
You can turn that hobby of yours into something big! The gaming industry has improved a lot and if you have the skills and passion for it, why not try it out professionally?
This is the perfect way for you to make friends and enhance your gaming skills. Who knows, one day you’ll become a professional gamer like Team BossKurr! Don’t be afraid to start from zero, and explore what you are passionate about. 2. Recharge by being around animals (or owning one)!
Animals are super loveable and cute, right? There are many benefits to being around animals or even owning one! Pets make great companions! They help to keep those negative emotions at bay justby being there (and also because they’re cute!). Just imagine having a fluffy and cuddly pal by your side to talk to - whenever! And the best part is, they will always agree with you.
Being around a pet brings many health benefits. Not only do they help us combat loneliness, running or playing with them regularly will also help lower blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. How? When you have a pet or are around animals, there will be opportunities for exercise and outdoor activities - such as walking or playing with your furry friend at the park. Also, did you ever realize that having a pet with you helps as a conversation starter? Here’s to gaining more friends through our furry friend!

3. Try out YOGA!
If you’ve never tried yoga in your life, you might want to because there are many benefits to it! When you practice yoga every day, just imagine how flexible your life would be. After the looooong SPM process, there is no better way of recharging than doing a relaxing, stress-relieving workout.
When we talk about yoga, the main thing that always comes to our mind is peace. This is a great chance for you to get it all out! While it is a chance for you to reset, there are also many health benefits to practicing yoga. It helps you to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and also in maintaining a healthy heart. It can even improve your sleep by connecting you with more energy and lighter moods.
4. Make some ka-ching! #getthatbread
Planning on going on a food hunt or going for fun activities with your friend? Then you might want to consider a part-time job! We know...you might be thinking “I am young, why do I need to work?”
Having a part-time job is fun, and it is where you will meet new people and explore your passion. It could help you in developing your identity, accomplish new goals and become more independent from your parents.
It is also important for you to know that experiences such as a part-time job add to your credibility. It would help you learn a lot of new skills, which will be beneficial for you in the long run. Also, this is the time for you to experience a glimpse of the working world. Who knows, you might like it!
After all, getting some extra cash won't hurt, right? You can use it for anything you want!
5. Segway KL
School’s over and it’s time for you to explore, and what is the best way to explore your own city than on a segway? If you’ve ever ridden on a beam or segway around Kuala Lumpur, we are sure this would be a no-brainer for you. There are many segway tours that you can join in KL!
Why segway? It is the ideal way for getting around cities such as Kuala Lumpur and you can experience tourism in a new way without getting bored of long walks. Also, you would meet new people along the way and get to explore the city better. We recommend you to try out Segway KL or just cruise on a scooter (like Beam) around KL with your family and friends! We are sure you will create a fun memory with them.
Just remember to be careful! Wear your mask at all times and carry around a bottle of hand sanitiser!
6. Take an Art Class
If you’re a creative person, why don’t you explore more of your creativity with an art class? There are many forms of arts you can explore, and while they are classes, they’re more fun and let you discover your own creativity. Who knows, you might be the next Pablo Picasso! If you aren’t sure what you want to do, you can always explore the different options online first.
Digi you know? Art can ignite your creativity and helps you in releasing stress. It can also boost one’s memory, when you create more, you learn how to see things differently. It also helps lessen the feeling of anxiety and agitation. Sounds relaxing and fun, right?
7. Relax and recharge with Nature!
Back to basics! Have you ever got the time to reallybe around nature? Occasionally, we hike, go to the park, or jog around our house area, but that is not really nature. Yes, we are surrounded by nature all the time. The trees, and the birds chirping in the morning. But, we are talking about the great outdoors!. When was the last time you went hiking in a forest, sat on a rock down by the river and spent time by the beach?
After the hectic year of dealing with SPM, we’re sure you’re ready to get out there! What you see, hear, and feel every second not only changes your mood, but also how your nervous, endocrine and immune systems are working.
The stress of unpleasant moments can heighten your stress level, which will heighten your blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension and suppresses your immune system. A pleasing environment like nature will reverse that.
Not just that, being around in nature heals you. It heals your soul. Just viewing the beautiful and calm scene reduces stress, anger, fear and increases good feelings. It does not help you just emotionally, it contributes to your wellbeing at the same time. Take this time and opportunity for you and your friends to go back to nature and relax together.
