Mansplaining Popular Chick Flicks!

by Community Manager ‎22-11-2019 04:00 PM - edited ‎22-11-2019 04:01 PM

A movie session with the Bros usually involves movies that are filled with action, adventure and lots of effects. You wouldn’t expect a bunch of guys to sit together and watch a romantic-comedy right?

This Movember, we’re going to summarise some of the popular chick-flicks, the Bro-way. Oh and we also had a girl to explain the movie, their version too. So, let’s go!

500 Days of Summer

How girls would explain it: We all know the story of romantic Tom who dated Summer, believing that she was the girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Summer, however does not believe in relationships and boyfriends.. and eventually dumps Joseph Gordon-Levitt (sobs).

How Bros would explain it: Guy from 3rd Rock From The Sun meets New Girl. After dating for a while, they break up and while she moves on, he gets depressed and can’t get over her for 500 days.

The Notebook

How girls would explain it: One of the best romantic movies out there! I mean, hello Ryan Gosling.

How Bros would explain it: Ryan Gosling and girl from Mean Girls fall in love but can’t get together because of her mum. Then after a year, they get back together but she can’t decide if she wants to leave her current fiancee for him. She eventually does. Tsk tsk.

P.S. I Love You

ps-i-love-you.png

How girls would explain it: Imagine losing the love of your life, forever. After the death of her husband, Holly receives letters written by her late husband, giving her hope, faith and the will to move on.

How Bros would explain it: Leonidas from 300 dies and leaves his wife letters and notes. At first, she feels sad and lonely because all her friends are happy and moving on with life but soon gets better and tries to fall in love again.

Valentines Day

How girls would explain it: Every relationship has its problems. Even with all the big names acting in the movie, Valentine’s Day is definitely relatable to all of us!

How Bros would explain it: A bunch of people having relationship problems during Valentine’s Day.
