How You Can Help The Fight Against COVID-19 in Sabah

by Community Manager ‎28-10-2020 11:20 AM - edited ‎28-10-2020 11:20 AM

Since the end of September this year, the 3rd wave of COVID-19 has seen record-breaking numbers in new cases in certain states. The numbers have risen exponentially, forcing some states to go into CMCO. As of the 27th of October, there have been a total of 28,640 confirmed cases.

With Sabah as one of the most affected regions at the moment, we have compiled methods and initiatives that you can be a part of to help.

How can you help?

As the number of cases increases, so does the usage of PPE, short for personal protective equipment. More medical supplies and other related Covid-19 relief items are required. And while the Health Ministry has mentioned that we have adequate stocks for all equipment, you can still help out by contributing or donating. You can even volunteer your time and effort as part of the frontliners team here. Check out the full list here.

Where do I donate?

Just google and you'll be able to find multiple links and sources where you can donate to. Different organizations and NGOs have reached out to lend a helping hand to those in Sabah. Here are a few for them.

What else can I do?

As the period of CMCO in Sabah gets extended, different shops and restaurants are affected heavily, with most of them having no customers or even being forced to close down. Support local businesses and SMEs during this time as they struggle to make ends meet.

If you're a Digi subscriber, you can support them on the MyDigi Bazaar in your app. Just click here and you'll find all the local businesses and buy from them.
