Guard Yourself Against COVID-19

As experts around the world work hard to control the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, here are some things we can do together to help stop the spread of the virus.

Wash Your Hands Frequently

It seems like a no-brainer but properly washing your hands is still one of the best methods to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection. Soap and water reduce all types of germs on your hands, so if ever in doubt, wash your hands!

Covering Your Mouth and Nose

When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your flexed elbow or tissue then throw away the tissue immediately into a closed bin. Covering your mouth and nose prevents the spread of viruses and germs. If you sneeze or cough into your hands, you may contaminate objects or people you touch.

Precautionary Measures by Digi

The safety of our customers has always been our top priority and the rising number of coronavirus outbreak urged us to relook into our precautionary measures.

In response to the public concerns over the current coronavirus, we are stepping up our precautionary measures to safeguard your health and wellness during your visit to Digi Stores and Digi Store Express.

Clean and Sanitised Stores

Viruses can survive and linger on surfaces of different materials for at least two to three days. Any potentially contaminated surfaces in our Digi stores, as well as frequently touched objects, will be sanitised daily after closing.

Keeping Germs at Bay

With the number of daily visitors at Digi Stores nationwide, all Digi staff are required to wear masks while on duty to prevent the spread of the virus and to improve hygiene levels.

Prioritise good hygiene

Our staff will continue to practice good personal hygiene at all times. Regularly washing our hands with soap, covering our mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, and disposing of the soiled tissue paper immediately will help minimising the risk of being infected by Coronavirus.

Healthy Retail Staff

Staff who are unwell will be instructed to stay home until they are fully recovered before resuming their duties.

14-day self-quarantine

We are imposing a 14-day self-quarantine on staff who have recently visited China. Staff who have recently returned from the affected countries are advised to seek medical advice immediately if they are experiencing  any symptoms like fever, cough or flu.

It is also important  to remain calm and seek out reliable information from public health officials. Be skeptical of fake news and implausible conspiracy theories on the internet.
